I'm an Apple Certified Trainer!

Several days ago, I finally received my new certificate - I am now an Apple Certified Trainer (ACT) for Logic Pro 8 Level 1.

About a month earlier, ICOM, my employer, sent me to Singapore for the Logic T3 (Logic Pro 8 Level 1 Train-the-Trainer) course. My trainer was Henrik Ahlgren from Sweden and there were 3 of us in the class (me and 2 other SAE Singapore lecturers).

From left: Giri Shanker, Sze, Henrik Ahlgren and Kenneth Foo at the SAE Singapore lobby.

From left: Kenneth, Giri, Sze and Henrik at the SAE Singapore balcony. Both Kenneth and Giri are lecturers there and have been wonderful hosts to Henrik and me.

Henrik was a great trainer, which helped me achieve a score of 95.51% in my Logic T3 exam :D

With my ACT qualification, I also have a new certification logo.

But due to the awkward timing of my Logic T3 course, I will be allowed to take the new Logic Pro 9 T3 exam when it becomes available (without undergoing another class).

Nevertheless, obtaining my ACT qualification for Logic would give ICOM the option to proceed with its application to become the first AATCe (Apple Authorized Training Center for Education) in Malaysia. Only time will tell if that becomes a reality.

NT: Yeah thanks, happening... but still only level 1...

Lily: Haha thanks, but there's always someone better than you. Anyway, you just got free Logic consultation 2 days ago... so no problem there :-)

i can't imagine how logic/pro-tools exam like- do they test you "how to use logic/protools" practically or ask you lots of technical questions about the product? Or they give you a very mess, corrupted project and you have to fix it?

Don't tell me you need to learn the history of the product as well?

No, no history. The online exams are based on the course books - multiple choice questions mostly on the practical aspects of each software. No projects to fix but they will show you a pic of the session and ask what happens/other questions about the pic.

Try it one day if you have a chance... ask your uni to sponsor the training and certification :P

tbh, i'm a little surprise of your college being so "generous" sending you for many courses...

but i know the "motive" behind it...haha..

well, not bad being the "victim" in this case then :-p

oh ya, snow leopard seems cool according to the review- although i won't have a chance to USE it :-(

Well, ICOM invests in its teaching staff to be more qualified while we also benefit by having more expertise to impart to the students, so I guess it's a win-win situation :D

Snow Leopard reviews are impressive but it may be a good idea to wait a little for better music app support before upgrading.
